Apple Watch Series 7 smartwatch review

The Apple Watch Series 7, unlike its predecessor, the Series 6, has had no high-profile release, enjoying only a very modest introduction. This isn’t surprising, though. The Apple wath Series 7 differs from its predecessor in having a USB-C connector, shorter charging times, a larger display and support for Fitness+.

Despite the lack of dramatic hardware differences, the manufacturer has discontinued the Six, leaving only the inexpensive SE and Series 3 in the lineup – for consumers looking to get an Apple watch for relatively little money. Of course, and the capabilities of the cheaper Series 3 – at its cost, which is more than half that of the flagship Series 7.

Comparing the six and seven might make it seem like we’re talking about the same device, as many of the parameters are similar. However, the Series 7 features a slightly larger display, which is significant for such a gadget, and a few other innovations.

The package is no different from the previous series: two boxes in a dust cover, one with the watch and charger, the other with the strap. Traditionally for Apple watches, the silicone strap comes in three parts to optimally fit the wearer’s hand. Leather straps and metal bracelets fit individually.

Despite the slightly larger display, the design of the case has not changed at all, for which the creators are to be commended. The layout of the controls and the gauge block are the same as on the previous Apple Watch series. As before, the case material in the variant available in Russia is aluminum and glass, in the US versions the watch can also be bought in steel, titanium and ceramic cases.

The manufacturer claims that the Series 7 uses stronger glass, and you’ll have to take their word for it, as testing this parameter is not safe for the product. What is certain, however, is that there is a special coating that is very easy to remove fingerprints from and significantly more scratch-resistant.

Apple Watch Series 7 smart watch

Overall, the quality of the Apple Watch Series 7 screen is top notch. Colours have a natural saturation and do not “sting” to the eye.

As mentioned above, the Apple Watch Series 6 and 7 feature options are largely similar. Therefore, owners of the sixth series watch does not make sense to spend on a new gadget, you can simply update the operating system to watchOS 8.

The Fitness+ feature on the Apple Watch Series 7 will be very important to health enthusiasts and fans of new-fangled varieties of physical activity. The feature is chargeable and includes a constantly updated library of various video and audio workouts. The feature is seamlessly integrated into the Apple system. You can watch video workouts on your iPad or Apple TV and listen to audio content on AirPods.

The workout library features lessons taught by celebrity health enthusiasts. There’s also the option for music lovers to choose a workout soundtrack to suit their taste.

However, Fitness + has one important feature: this function is only partially russified in the form of subtitles. Therefore, users who do not understand spoken English will experience some inconvenience.

The battery in the Apple Watch Series 7 is the same as the previous series, but the battery life is slightly shorter. This is the price the user pays for the increased screen area compared to the previous version.
